고양특례시가 급증하는 공간정보 수요에 신속하게 대응하기 위해 고정밀 드론영상을 직접 촬영·제작하는 행정 지원 체계를 구축했다.

시는 최근 농지 전수조사와 불법건축물 단속 등 현장 중심의 공간정보 활용 업무가 늘어남에 따라 외부 용역에 의존하던 기존 방식에서 벗어나 자체적으로 고정밀 공간정보를 생산할 수 있는 체계를 마련했다고 밝혔다.

이번 체계 구축으로 토지정보과 공간정보팀 전담 인력이 직접 드론을 운용하고, 촬영한 영상을 소프트웨어로 가공해 수 센티미터(㎝)급 고정밀 영상을 제작한다. 

촬영부터 영상 제작까지 전 과정을 자체 수행하는 원스톱 방식이다.

이에 따라 외부 용역에 소요되는 예산을 절감하는 동시에 각 부서가 필요로 하는 시점에 현장 영상과 3차원 경사 사진 등을 신속하게 제공할 수 있게 됐다. 

특히 현장 확인과 자료 분석에 필요한 공간정보를 적기에 활용할 수 있어 각종 행정 업무의 처리 속도와 효율성이 한층 높아질 것으로 기대된다.

고양시는 이와 별도로 ‘고정밀 전자지도 구축사업’을 통해 시 전역을 대상으로 해상도 3㎝급 이하의 정사영상을 매년 구축하고 있다.

이렇게 확보한 고정밀 공간정보는 민원 행정을 비롯해 도시계획 및 개발, 각종 불법 사항 조사 등 다양한 행정 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 

특히 향후 인공지능(AI)과 스마트시티 분야의 핵심 기반 데이터로도 활용 범위가 확대될 전망이다.
