고양시의회가 의원들의 성인지 감수성을 높이고 건전한 의정문화를 조성하기 위한 법정의무교육을 실시했다.

고양시의회는 지난 2일 의원들을 대상으로 성희롱·성폭력·가정폭력·스토킹 등 4대 폭력 예방을 위한 법정의무교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 의정활동 과정에서 요구되는 성인지 감수성을 높이고, 상호 존중과 배려를 바탕으로 한 건강한 조직문화를 조성하기 위해 마련됐다. 

특히 고위직 맞춤형 프로그램으로 구성해 의원들이 조직 내에서 갖춰야 할 책임과 역할을 되짚어보는 데 중점을 뒀다.

강연은 전온유 모든교육 사회적협동조합 대표가 맡았다. 

전 대표는 조직 내에서 무심코 사용하는 차별적 언어와 고정관념, 성역할에 대한 잘못된 인식을 살펴보고, 4대 폭력의 유형과 특성을 이해하는 한편 폭력을 예방하기 위한 실천 방안을 제시했다.

교육을 통해 의원들은 일상적인 언어와 행동이 조직문화에 미치는 영향을 점검하고, 서로를 존중하고 배려하는 의정활동을 위한 실천 방향을 모색했다.

김미수 의장은 “고위직의 인식과 태도는 전체 조직문화에 지대한 영향을 미친다”며 “이번 교육이 의원들의 성인지 감수성을 한층 높이고, 서로를 존중하는 건전한 의정문화를 다지는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

고양시의회는 앞으로도 다양한 직무교육과 소양교육을 지속적으로 추진해 의원들의 역량을 강화하고, 시민에게 더욱 신뢰받는 의정환경을 만들어 나갈 계획이다.
