고양시-KB국민은행 배움누리와 아람누리도서관이 손잡고 진행한 '도서관과 함께 책 읽기' 사업이 순조롭게 막을 내렸다.

두 기관은 이번 프로그램에서 청소년의 진로 탐색을 큰 축으로 삼아 7월 25일부터 지난달 29일까지 열 차례에 걸쳐 눈높이에 맞춘 활동을 이어왔으며 세부 구성을 보면 도서관 이용 방법을 배우는 견학 및 활용 수업, 사서와 독서토론 전문 강사가 함께한 맞춤형 독서 프로그램, 고양어울림누리 전시를 둘러보는 문화체험 등으로 짜여졌다.

참여 청소년 중 한 명은 "평소 몰랐던 자신의 관심사와 진로를 책을 매개로 진지하게 들여다볼 수 있었다"며 "그저 책을 읽는 데 그치지 않고 스스로를 성찰하는 동시에 다른 친구들의 다양한 생각도 나눌 수 있어 좋았다"고 소감을 밝혔다.

배움누리 측은 "아람누리도서관과 손발을 맞춰 지역 청소년들이 독서의 재미를 느끼고, 자신 안에 숨은 가능성을 찾아 미래를 긍정적으로 그려볼 수 있었던 의미 있는 시간이었다"고 평가했으며  "앞으로도 지역 기관들과 힘을 모아 청소년들의 건강한 성장을 뒷받침하는 다채로운 프로그램을 꾸준히 만들어가겠다"고 덧붙였다.

The 'Reading with the Library' project, a collaboration between Goyang City and KB Kookmin Bank's Baeum Nuri and Aram Nuri Library, has successfully come to a close.

With career exploration for youth serving as a central focus of the program, the two institutions carried out age-appropriate activities over ten sessions from July 25 to the 29th of last month. The detailed program included field trips and classes on library usage, customized reading programs led by librarians and expert book discussion instructors, and cultural experiences such as touring exhibitions at Goyang Eoullim Nuri.

One participating youth shared their thoughts, stating, "I was able to seriously examine my interests and career paths, which I hadn't previously known about, through the medium of books." They added, "It was great to go beyond simply reading books and reflect on myself while simultaneously sharing diverse thoughts with other friends."
