파주시가 양성평등의 의미를 되새기고 성평등 문화를 일상에 확산하기 위한 기념행사를 열었다.

파주시는 지난 1일 파주시민회관 소공연장에서 손배찬 파주시장과 최유각 파주시의회 의장, 기관 관계자 및 시민 등 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 양성평등주간 기념행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

‘모두의 성평등, 더 넓고 더 깊게’를 슬로건으로 진행된 이번 행사는 양성평등의 가치를 시민들과 공유하고, 성별에 따른 고정관념과 편견을 넘어 서로를 존중하는 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사는 기념식과 유공자 표창, 특별 강연, 시민참여 프로그램 등으로 구성됐다.

1부 기념식에서는 지역사회 양성평등 문화 확산과 시민 권익 증진에 기여한 유공자들에게 표창을 수여하며 그동안의 노고를 격려했다.

이어진 특별 강연에는 방송인 이성미 강사가 나서 ‘양성평등 메시지’를 주제로 참석자들과 소통했다. 

이 강사는 성별에 따라 형성된 고정관념과 편견을 돌아보고, 서로를 동등한 인격체로 존중하는 삶의 태도가 양성평등 문화의 출발점이라고 강조했다.

행사장 로비 등에 마련된 시민참여 공간에서는 시민들이 다양한 체험형 프로그램에 직접 참여하며 양성평등의 가치를 쉽고 친근하게 접하는 시간도 가졌다.
