고양특례시가 오는 9월 개막하는 ‘2026 아이치·나고야 아시안게임’에 출전하는 고양시청 직장운동경기부 소속 국가대표 선수들을 격려하며 선전을 기원했다.

이번 대회에는 고양시청 직장운동경기부 소속 선수 4명이 태극마크를 달고 대한민국과 고양시의 명예를 걸고 출전한다.

역도 종목에서는 박혜정, 진윤성, 전희수 선수가 출전하며, 세팍타크로에서는 박현근 선수가 국가대표로 나선다.

고양시는 대회를 앞두고 선수들의 그동안의 노력과 헌신을 격려하고, 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 응원의 뜻을 전했다.

민 시장은 “고양시와 대한민국을 대표한다는 자부심을 가지고 그동안 갈고닦은 기량을 마음껏 펼치고 오길 바란다”며 “무엇보다 부상 없이 건강하게 대회를 치르는 것이 최우선인 만큼 컨디션 조절에도 각별히 신경 써달라”고 말했다.

이어 “108만 고양시민과 함께 뜨거운 마음으로 선수들의 선전을 응원하겠다”며 국가대표 선수들에게 힘찬 응원의 메시지를 전했다.

고양시청 직장운동경기부는 그동안 국내외 주요 대회에서 꾸준히 뛰어난 성적을 거두며 고양시가 스포츠 도시로서 위상을 높이는 데 기여해왔다. 

이번 아시안게임에서도 메달 획득을 목표로 하고 있는 선수들은 대회 개막을 앞두고 최종 담금질과 현지 적응 훈련에 들어갈 예정이다.
