고양특례시가 다가오는 추석 명절을 앞두고 시민들이 안전하고 건강한 먹거리를 구매할 수 있도록 관내 식품 취급업소를 대상으로 대대적인 위생점검에 나선다.

시는 오는 8월 31일부터 9월 4일까지 5일간 식품제조가공업소와 즉석판매제조가공업소, 식품접객업소, 건강기능식품판매업소 등 관내 43개소 이상을 대상으로 추석 명절 대비 식품 안전관리 점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 추석을 앞두고 소비가 증가하는 떡류, 한과류, 두부류, 만두, 홍삼·프로바이오틱스 등 건강기능식품과 제수용·선물용 국내산 수산물 등을 중심으로 진행된다.

주요 점검 사항은 무등록 또는 미신고 식품의 제조·판매 여부를 비롯해 소비기한이 지난 제품의 사용 및 보관 여부, 작업장과 종사자의 위생관리 실태, 냉장·냉동식품의 보관기준 준수 여부 등이다. 

이와 함께 자가품질검사의 적정성 및 식품 표시기준 준수 여부, 건강기능식품의 부당 광고와 판매업소 위생관리 실태 등도 집중적으로 살핀다.

고양시는 점검과 함께 떡과 참기름 등 주요 가공·조리식품과 수산물을 직접 수거해 식품의 기준·규격에 적합한지 정밀 검사할 방침이다.

점검 결과 경미한 위반사항은 현장에서 즉시 시정하도록 조치하고, 시민의 건강과 식품 안전을 위협할 수 있는 중대한 위반사항이 확인된 업소에 대해서는 관련 법령에 따라 엄중한 행정처분을 내릴 예정이다.
