파주에서 학교를 다니지 않는 청소년들이 무료로 드론 조종법을 익히고 자격증까지 도전할 수 있는 자리가 마련됐다.

(재)파주시청소년재단 산하 파주시청소년지원센터 꿈드림은 최근 진로 탐색과 홀로서기 준비를 돕는 취지로 드론 자격증반을 신설해 문을 열었다고 전했으며 평소 드론에 흥미가 있었거나 새로운 진로를 고민 중인 비재학 청소년이라면 신청 대상에 포함된다. 

커리큘럼은 조종 원리를 익히는 강의와 실제 기체를 다루는 실습으로 짜여 있어, 참가자들이 단계적으로 실력을 쌓아 시험에 대비할 수 있도록 했으며 수업은 지난 18일 첫발을 뗐으며 다음 달 17일까지 이어진다.

한 달 남짓한 기간에 걸쳐 열 차례 수업이 배정됐고, 장소는 운정청소년센터 2층에 마련된 다목적 체육관이다.

눈에 띄는 대목은 인센티브인데 결석 없이 커리큘럼을 마친 학생에게는 자격증 취득 지원뿐 아니라 20만원어치 상품권도 별도로 얹어주며 이는 배움에 대한 동기를 북돋우는 동시에, 진로를 스스로 설계해 나가는 청소년들을 실질적으로 응원하겠다는 뜻이 담겨 있다.
