고양특례시는 지난 13일 고양시청 대회의실에서 ‘2026년 3분기 통합방위협의회’를 개최하고 다가오는 을지연습에 대비한 지역 통합방위태세를 점검했다.

이날 회의에는 통합방위협의회 위원을 비롯해 민·관·군·경·소방 관계자 32여 명이 참석해 최근 국제 안보 정세와 지역 비상상황에 대한 대응 방안을 공유하고 유관기관 간 협력체계를 강화하기 위한 방안을 논의했다.

회의에서는 통합방위협의회 의장 변경에 따른 인사와 함께 일산 명지병원장을 신규 위원으로 위촉했다. 

이를 계기로 비상상황이나 재난 발생 시 신속한 의료 지원이 이뤄질 수 있도록 지역 보건·의료 분야의 협력체계를 더욱 강화하기로 했다.

육군 제9사단은 최근 중동 지역 분쟁과 러시아·우크라이나 전쟁 등 국제 안보 불안정성이 지속되는 상황을 설명하고, 변화하는 안보 환경에 대응하기 위해 지역 단위의 실질적인 대응 역량을 높여야 한다고 강조했다.
