의정부도시교육재단 정재혁 차장이 미래세대의 보훈의식 함양과 지역사회 내 보훈문화 확산에 이바지한 공로를 인정받아 국무총리 표창을 받았다.

국가보훈부 경기북부보훈지청은 13일 광복 80년 기념사업 추진 유공 정부포상 전수식을 개최하고, 정재혁 차장에게 국무총리 표창을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

이번 정부포상은 광복 80년 기념사업을 성공적으로 이끌고 독립정신을 계승하며, 국민통합과 보훈문화 확산에 공헌한 유공자를 격려하기 위해 마련됐다.

정재혁 차장은 그동안 경기북부보훈지청과 긴밀히 협력하여 청소년을 비롯한 미래세대가 보훈의 가치를 친근하게 접할 수 있는 체험 중심의 프로그램을 다수 기획·운영해 왔다. 

이러한 노력의 결과로 추진된 보훈테마활동은 지역사회의 대표적인 모범 사업으로 자리 잡았으며, 2023년부터 2025년까지 3년 연속 보훈테마활동 대상을 수상하는 성과를 거두기도 했다.

이날 전수식에서 정 차장은 표창장과 부상품을 전달받고 그동안의 헌신과 노고를 격려받았다.

정재혁 차장은 수상 소감을 통해 "뜻깊은 상을 받게 되어 감사드린다"며 "앞으로도 미래세대가 보훈의 가치를 쉽고 자연스럽게 공감할 수 있도록 보훈문화 확산 활동에 최선을 다하겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.
