고양상공회의소 여성기업위원회가 지역 내 취약계층을 돕기 위해 1천만원의 성금을 고양시에 전달하며 나눔 실천에 동참했다.

고양특례시는 지난 7일 시청 열린시장실에서 민경선 고양특례시장과 고양상공회의소 여성기업위원회 구성자 초대위원장, 경기사회복지공동모금회 권인욱 회장을 비롯한 관계자 14명이 참석한 가운데 ‘사랑의 성금 전달식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 성금은 고양상공회의소 여성기업위원회 위원들이 지역의 어려운 이웃을 돕자는 뜻을 모아 십시일반 마련했다. 

전달된 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 고양시 관내 취약계층을 위한 각종 복지사업에 사용될 예정이다.

구성자 고양상공회의소 여성기업위원회 초대위원장은 “어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 지역의 소외된 이웃들에게 힘이 되고자 역대 위원장들과 함께 마음을 모았다”며 “앞으로도 여성기업인들이 사회적 책임을 실천하고 지속적인 나눔을 통해 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 기업문화를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

민경선 고양특례시장은 “모두가 어려운 시기에도 이웃사랑을 실천해 준 고양상공회의소 여성기업위원회에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “전달받은 성금이 도움이 필요한 시민들에게 투명하고 소중하게 사용될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 “이번 나눔을 계기로 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 촘촘한 복지안전망을 구축하는 데 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 덧붙였다.
