고양도시관리공사가 청소년 마약 범죄 예방과 마약 근절을 위한 공익 캠페인에 동참하며 지역사회 안전망 강화에 나섰다.

고양도시관리공사는 제40회 세계 마약퇴치의 날을 맞아 청소년 마약 범죄의 위험성을 알리고 마약 근절에 대한 사회적 관심을 높이기 위한 ‘NO WEAK CHALLENGE’ 릴레이 캠페인에 참여했다고 7일 밝혔다.

‘NO WEAK CHALLENGE’는 청소년을 대상으로 한 마약 범죄의 심각성을 알리고, 마약의 유혹으로부터 청소년을 보호하기 위해 마련된 공익 릴레이 캠페인이다. 

특히 공공기관과 지역사회가 함께 참여해 마약 예방에 대한 경각심을 높이고 건강한 청소년 성장 환경을 조성하는 데 의미를 두고 있다.

고양도시관리공사는 앞서 캠페인에 참여한 파주도시공사의 지목을 받아 이번 릴레이에 참여했다. 

공사는 캠페인의 취지에 공감하고 청소년 마약 문제에 대한 사회적 경각심을 높이는 데 힘을 보태기로 했다.

이어 다음 캠페인 참여기관으로 의왕도시공사를 지목하면서 지역 공공기관 간 마약 근절 연대도 이어가기로 했다.

강승필 사장은 “청소년은 우리 사회의 미래인 만큼 마약의 유혹으로부터 보호하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 것은 공공기관의 중요한 책무”라며 “앞으로도 청소년 보호와 마약 예방을 위한 다양한 활동에 적극적으로 참여하고 지역사회와 함께 안전한 환경을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
