고양특례시가 설치 후 10년이 지나 노후화된 건물번호판 3,350개를 교체하며 시민들의 도로명주소 이용 편의와 도시미관 개선에 나섰다.

이번 사업은 설치 후 내구연한인 10년이 지난 건물번호판을 대상으로 진행됐다. 

노후화된 번호판은 글씨가 흐려지거나 색이 바래 주소 확인에 불편을 초래할 뿐 아니라, 긴급 상황에서 정확한 위치를 파악하는 데 어려움을 줄 수 있어 정비 필요성이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔다.

시는 이번 사업을 통해 덕양구 1,428개, 일산동구 1,461개, 일산서구 461개 등 총 3,350개의 노후 건물번호판을 새 제품으로 교체했다. 

번호판 교체와 함께 주변 시설물도 정비해 쾌적하고 정돈된 도시환경을 조성하는 데도 힘썼다.
