고양특례시가 침체된 지역경제 회복과 미래 성장동력 확보를 동시에 추진하며 민생경제와 첨단산업 육성이라는 두 축의 경제정책에 속도를 낸다.

민경선 고양특례시장은 "그동안 시민 삶과 밀접한 고양페이와 청년기본소득 등의 사업이 중단돼 아쉬움이 컸다"며 "관련 사업을 본격적으로 재개해 민생경제 회복의 초석을 다지고, 지역 내 생산과 소비, 투자가 선순환하는 지역순환경제를 구축해 도시 경쟁력을 높이겠다"고 밝혔다.

경영 및 마케팅 컨설팅도 함께 제공해 경쟁력 향상을 지원할 방침이다.

전통시장과 골목상권에는 상권 매니저 인건비 지원, 주차환경 개선, 시설 현대화 사업 등을 추진해 지역 상권 전반의 경쟁력을 높인다.

시는 이와 함께 지역 내에서 생산과 소비, 투자가 순환하는 '지역순환경제' 구축에도 힘을 쏟는다.

돌봄 분야에서도 지역순환경제 모델을 도입한다.
