고양특례시가 일산테크노밸리의 성공적인 기업 유치를 위해 수도권 서북부 기업을 직접 찾아가는 공격적인 투자유치 활동에 나섰다.

기업의 자발적인 입주를 기다리는 기존 방식에서 벗어나 성장 가능성이 높은 기업을 선별해 맞춤형 투자 제안을 하는 '기업 맞춤형 세일즈' 전략을 본격 추진한다.

고양특례시는 수도권 서북부 주요 공장등록기업 92개사를 대상으로 일산테크노밸리의 입지 경쟁력과 투자지원 제도를 담은 민경선 시장 명의의 투자제안 서한을 28일 발송했다고 밝혔다.

이번 투자유치 전략은 이전이나 사업 확장을 검토 중인 기업을 선제적으로 발굴해 최적의 입지와 지원책을 제안하는 것이 핵심이다. 

시는 본사와 연구소, 신사업 부문, 첨단제조시설 등의 신설 및 확장 수요를 적극 파악하고, 서한 발송 이후에는 기업 현장을 직접 방문해 투자 계획을 청취할 예정이다.

또한 부지 선정부터 세제·재정 지원, 각종 인허가, 착공까지 투자 전 과정을 밀착 지원하는 맞춤형 원스톱 서비스를 제공해 기업들의 투자 부담을 최소화한다는 방침이다.

고양시는 투자제안 서한을 통해 일산테크노밸리의 우수한 입지 경쟁력을 강조했다. 

특히 기업 성장의 핵심 요소인 우수 인재 확보 측면에서 서울과 가까운 접근성과 뛰어난 정주 여건을 강점으로 내세웠다.

일산테크노밸리는 GTX-A를 비롯해 지하철 3호선, 경의중앙선, 서해선, 교외선 등 광역 철도망과 자유로, 제2자유로, 서울문산고속도로가 인접해 수도권 전역으로의 접근성이 뛰어나다. 

김포국제공항과 인천국제공항 이용도 편리해 국내외 비즈니스 활동에도 유리한 교통 환경을 갖추고 있다.

첨단제조시설용지에 1,000평 이상 투자하는 기업에는 최대 8억 원의 토지매입비를 지원하며, 취득세 감면을 통해 약 2억 원의 비용 절감 효과를 제공한다. 이와 함께 재산세 35% 감면 혜택도 받을 수 있다.

민경선 고양특례시장은 "기업이 먼저 찾아오기를 기다리는 방식만으로는 일산테크노밸리를 성공적으로 조성할 수 없다"며 "투자 가능성이 있는 기업을 직접 찾아가 기업의 성장 계획에 맞는 최적의 조건을 제시하고, 신속한 행정 지원과 확실한 실행력으로 기업이 먼저 선택하는 도시를 만들겠다"고 밝혔다.
